The timing could have only been better if it was 2 weeks ago.

I really was just riding along. I felt one snap during a skid at Hemlock, and then the second one happened at 4th and Burrard.
I used a toe clip strap as a secondary bridge and rode it home.
DFL Nick was quick to point out that it may have been stressed by BOB use. That was probably a big factor. That and 16,000km or so of use by me.
Its kinda sad. I'm going to have Morgan take a photo of it before I strip it down.
That's actually exactly where my second touring frame cracked on me in italy. I wouldn't doubt back end load at all.
It would make a great top frame for a tallbike now though.
I spent the night with the Lyle and the Bianchi. You could see the sorrow in his eyes as he looked longingly toward Lyle. It's OK dude, you served well.
The Bianchi did not die due to being crashed into human, object, or vehicle; it died of natural causes.
Knowing how heavy and unstable my trailer was on the tour, I agree with Team BOB Wear. It's pretty fun to pop broken seat stays in and out of place.
It most definitely must be kept for the top of a tall bike.
